Brenna's art show

Had a great time tonight watching Brenna as she showed her art work. Lots of great feedback and a few requests to buy her work! We are sure proud of her but hope she holds on to these treasures!

Round trip tail wind

I'm getting ready for a trip to California then Japan so decided to get in a bike ride today to help fight the upcoming jet lag. Does this really work? I guess I don't know but it feels good to get out so I do it!

I rode just past Chateau Chillon and back and was pleased to not only have a strong tail wind on the way out but also on the way back. Don't get that lucky too often.

Anyway, it was a fast brisk ride. The highlight was seeing the tail end of a boating accident rescue by a Geneva hospital helicopter. I stood about 10 meters from the helicopter as it took off. The sound of the blades spinning up was mesmerizing. It then lifted very smoothly without much turbulence and then suddenly the blast of hurricane scale wind hit me... It almost lifted me and my bike off the ground. A person standing next to me with a full grocery bag (not easy to get on a Sunday) found herself suddenly with just the handles. Loaves of bread, eggs and milk were splattered everywhere.

I didn't have my camera but did find a shot of what I think is the same aircraft. The rear rotor is interesting to say the least. It spins inside the rear ring...
